Sister (1/2) taught me the game many moons ago. No real openings (not sure if she knew any). Show me how the pieces moved, object of the game & we started to play a few games. But, due to life we never were able to play like I wanted to. The student must take on the teacher......Ok, I started to play live chess, a lot of pre-mature clicking with the mouse, lol......but fun

Update, guess what, going back home to visit (May), long over due. And guess who I will get to play a game with. Yes, my sis. She says, 'I'm rusty'. Probably open the door with an oil can in her hand......

I don't use any type of chess software, so if you play me & I happen to win its fair & sq. And I will do a jig, lol......

Ok fast forward '24. Wasn't able to get together w/ her & the above was to happen about 5yrs ago, so we are out of touch. Anyway, I recently found what I think will be good teachers for me in, Matt & Jesse from ChessGoals. I need to make Chess fun again. So let the real learning begin.
