I am Gaurav Rajesh Zagade, a 22-year-old Candidate Master from Maharashtra, India, with a peak rating of 2207, and currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. As a dedicated Chess Coach, I also offer playing practice sessions. Since 2019, I have taught over 50 students worldwide, including the US, UK, Switzerland, UAE, Oman, and Qatar. Sharing my 15 years of chess experience has been immensely rewarding, with my students showing remarkable progress and rating improvements within months.

• Mentored a former U-9 Indian national champion, who currently holds a rating of around 1889.
• Expertise in positional chess, excelling in prophylactic thinking, evaluation, piece improvement, pawn structures, and exploiting weaknesses.
• Deep knowledge of various openings, including the King's Indian Defence, Benoni Defence, Benko Gambit, Queen's Gambit Accepted, Semi-Slav, Queen's Gambit Declined, d4 openings from White, and Modern Reti.
• Keen aptitude for practical and technical play, with a strong focus on understanding underlying ideas rather than rote memorization.

Customized and Student-Centered Approach:

I offer a free demo session to all inquiries, where I address all questions and explain my methods in detail. My teaching emphasizes a deep analysis of each student's games to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Based on this analysis, I develop a personalized plan of action tailored to each student's needs. Regular game analysis and progress monitoring ensure continuous improvement. I teach online via Skype and Gmeet and offer playing practice for students with ratings below 2000, focusing on all three phases of the game. My systematic approach assesses a player's style, identifies their weaknesses and strengths, and works on them.
