Chess Poetry

I have never been good at chess.

But I've always craved sucess

In puzzles and blitz games no less

And in years, I have made some progress

I'll never get over 1200 in blitz rating.

No matter what new combinations I am creating,

Nor how many times I am check mating.

I'll only increase my score by waiting.

So, wish me the best as I try to play.

Don't be cruel when you sweep me away.

I'll play my best (which to you, is only ok)

As my rapid rating slowly decays.
